Macbeth Intensive

A detailed examination of Macbeth for senior secondary students.

Four actors explore the supernatural world of Macbeth as they investigate the play’s inner workings. The actors examine Shakespeare’s use of language and the way his characters reveal their actions, personalities and motivations through the text.

Contemporary references bring Shakespeare’s world into the twenty first century. The fundamental theatricality of Shakespeare is unmasked as are the many themes raised in Macbeth. These include loyalty, friendship, ambition and male/female relationships.
